November and December are a couple of the busiest months for our Jersey Cape Military Spouses' Club. While we are working hard to prepare for Recruit Stockings, we also squeeze in a little fun. Our November meeting was held at the NJ Audubon Nature Center of Cape May. Gretchen, the Director, led us in a wreath making class. Fun was had by all and some attendees were down right serious about their wreaths. They all turned out great.
The JCMSC volunteered at More Than Enough soup kitchen's Thanksgiving meal, and will help the Cape May police department wrap toys for their annual toy drive on Wednesday this week.
A big thank you to Kathy Gibbons for hosting our December meeting this month at Quarters A! While we were all mingling and enjoying each others' company, the CG Fire Department came to judge all the cookies we made. They take it very seriously and are such good sports about this every year! Thank you, CGFD! This year's winners were: for best tasting cookie-Jessica Calderon's Baileys cookie shot, for most original/creative-Richard Shannon's Spicy Jalapeño M&M cookie, for most festive-Katie Meuse's ugly sweater cookies. The ornament exchange was also good for a few rowdy laughs as ornaments were being stolen left and right.
